Carmen
Carmen is Scottish and has been living in rural Spain for almost 15Â years. During almost all of her life has been rescuing and helping horses and other animals whenever possible. Founder of the project, lover and friend of horses since a very young age. With 25Â years of experience working with, being around and handling horses, experience in backing youngsters, horse care, lessons and summer camps with kids, equestrian tourism (own trekking business for 3 years), long rides, and is also qualified as riding teacher with the Spanish Federation. She has spent her recent years looking for a better way in which horses should live in balance with their true nature, free of stress or exploitation. Always studying and learning about horses, and the better way of doing things. Carmen works teaching English to children in the surrounding villages.

Antonio
Antonio grew up in the centre of Madrid, he has been in the rural Spanish mountains for almost 20 years now. In the past he had a small horse trekking business in Segovia, and also worked in the north of Spain doing trekking and looking after the horses, where he discovered his great love and respect for them . He is a lover of nature, animals, and the mountain. Also a professional cook. He runs a small restaurant in the area.

Matt
Matt has always had a great love for horses and has spent many years travelling through Spain with horses. He found the work and purpose of our horse rescue project here in Gredos inspirational and is now a regular visitor, fundraiser and contact of ours in the U.K. He is a great help, support and friend for our rescued horses here in Spain.
